This week was pretty grand! We now have 3 new investigators that are
in a family. They have met with missionaries before and they know
quite a lot which is great! The mom works on Sundays but she is
trying her hardest to get Sundays off to come to church. I think she
is pretty cool! Then her husband is pretty chill. But he just got out
of brain surgery and he is still recovering from that. Her son is is
15 years old and LOVES basketball. We invited him and his cousin to
play with us this Saturday! I am pretty excited for that! :) we've
shared a few messages with them about eternal families and prophets
and they still are super interested again. Whenever we go over, they
ask to have prayer because we bring in a feeling that they absolutely
love which is pretty awesome!!
Yesterday was definitely the most spiritual day I have ever had. One
reason because the lessons were great. In gospel principles, we talked
about fall of Adam and Eve and what their perspective was before and
after they partook of the fruit. Then the other reason was Brian
Topper. That was definitely the most spiritual part of the day. 2
weeks ago, we asked him who he would like to baptize and confirm him.
He asked us how many baptisms we both had and we told him how many. My
companion had 5 and I had 0 BUT I told him he would be my first. Then
he said to me "well then I will let you baptize me". The program was
great!! Before the baptism, a lady gave a talk on baptism and the
covenant that we make when we enter the waters of baptism and how we
renew those covenants each week at Sacrament. It was golden! Then I got the privilege of doing the ordinance. We did it twice because his hand came up.. (he really needed to be super clean so we had to do it again ;) ) after that, we heard a talk about the Holy Ghost by our ward mission leader who is an institute teacher up in DC. So his talk was really great! THEN Brian shared his testimony! And man, WAS IT POWERFUL. I choked a few times but the Spirit was teaching me all sorts of things during that. It was GREAT!!
- Funniest thing your companion did-- Well today at our zone activity we played Football and Ultimate Frisbee and the grass was super wet... My companion dove for the frisbee and he slid into some dog dung... it was very FUNNY!! xD
- Funniest thing you did- something that made you laugh-- We were checking on some less actives in our area and... well... i forgot their names. Very embarrassing but funny haha
- Greatest characteristic about your mission president- be detailed-- I like how calm and powerful he is when he is talking. He knows what he is doing and I love it!!
- Favorite meal for the week--Favorite meal for the week has to be my hashbrowns for lunch a few days ago haha I LOVE HASH!! :)
